New Website Launched to Promote Gogebic Iron Range

IRONWOOD, MI - Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - A new website has been created that is designed to promote the great quality of life; the scenic beauty; the variety of adventure sports; the social networking; and employment opportunities available in the Gogebic Iron Range. The website is www.felivelife.com. This group is part of the Gogebic Iron Range

If you're wondering where the the website's name came from, an explanation is given on the site's home page:

"If you didn't sleep through chemistry class, you'll remember that Fe stands for Ferrous (sic), or Iron, in the periodic table.

Fe is our history and our culture and the reason we are here.

Live Life is our future! "

According to the site:

"Live in a place ripe with outdoor adventure.

With thousands of acres of public forest land, miles and miles of trails and hundreds of inland lakes, numerous rivers and streams. Plus incomparable Lake Superior. And lots of snow - averaging over 180 inches a year!

Where skiing, mountain biking, rock-climbing, kayaking are all out your back-door. And plenty of like-minded people to enjoy the outdoors with.

Adventure sports and pristine wilderness - plus safe, historic and affordable small towns - can't beat that!"

According to Marcy Kusz, Middle/High School Guidance Counselor at L.L. Wright High School -- who let us know about the site, "This website was created to promote the amazing things our area has to offer. We want to promote what we have to others.  Who wouldn't love to live here?"

She went on to say, "Check it out and pass it along.  There are a lot of people locally that put a ton of time and effort into this. Keep it moving and keep people talking about the treasures we already knew we had here! "

The website was created by the Attract Young Workers by Promoting Our Strengths Group which is part of the Gogebic Range Next Generation Initiative.
